What is Keept?
Keept is an iPhone app for tracking the money you didn't spend. Each time you resist a purchase you log it in two taps, and the amount is added to a running savings total that you can put toward goals. It is a motivation tool — not a bank account, and not a budgeting ledger.
Is Keept free?
Yes. Keept is free to download and use. Core features — unlimited savings entries, up to three active goals, investment current value, statistics, the weekly summary and recurring-skip reminders — work without paying. Keept Premium is optional and adds unlimited goals, iCloud sync, the investment value-over-time chart and more, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices vary by region and are shown in the app before you buy.
How does Keept handle my data and privacy?
Keept has no user accounts and includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Your entries and goals are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync (a Premium feature) they are also stored in your own iCloud account and never pass through Keept's servers.
Two features make optional network requests: live gold and silver prices, and the "what can I do with it?" suggestions. The suggestion request sends only the amount, city and category you enter at that moment — not your name, your device identity or your savings history.
How is Keept different from a budgeting app or a bank app?
Budgeting apps and bank apps record money that has left your account. Keept records the opposite: purchases you consciously decided not to make. It does not connect to your bank, import transactions or categorize spending. The total it shows is a measure of restraint you chose, which you can then direct toward a savings goal.
Does Keept move or hold my money?
No. Keept never touches real funds. Every amount is your own estimate of a purchase you skipped. Moving that money into actual savings is something you do yourself, outside the app.
How does Keept track gold and silver investments?
When you log a skipped purchase you can indicate that you bought gold or silver with the money instead. Keept stores the gram amount, fetches the current metal price each time you open the app, converts to your currency, and shows the current value and percentage gain. Premium adds a chart of that value over weekly, monthly and yearly ranges.
What are recurring skips?
A recurring skip is a thing you regularly choose not to buy — a daily coffee, a weekly delivery. You define it once with an amount and schedule, and Keept sends a reminder at the time you picked. Tapping "I didn't buy it" logs the saving in one tap. Nothing is ever recorded automatically; the reminder still needs your confirmation.
What does the "what can I do with it?" feature do?
Once your total passes a threshold, Keept can suggest real, currently available, local options that your saved amount would cover — for example a restaurant, an event or a product — each with a source link. It is framed as seeing the reward for your restraint, not as encouragement to spend. Free accounts get one request per month (three ideas); Premium accounts get one per week (five ideas).
Which devices and languages does Keept support?
Keept is an iPhone app running on iOS 16 or later, with a Home Screen widget. There is no iPad-optimized, Android or web version. The app interface is available in English and Turkish.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is needed and the app works offline. An internet connection is only used for optional features: fetching live metal prices, iCloud sync, and suggestion requests.
How do I cancel Keept Premium?
Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone and cancel Keept Premium there. Apple handles billing. You keep Premium access until the end of the paid period, and nothing you created is deleted if you stop.
