Privacy Policy

Keept ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal savings motivation app that helps you track the purchases you resisted and turn them into savings goals. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data is handled, where it lives, and your rights.

In short: Keept has no user accounts and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Your entries and goals stay on your device (and in your own iCloud account if you enable sync). A few optional features make network requests, described in section 3 — none of them send your identity or your savings history.

1. Data You Enter

When you use Keept, you log savings entries (amount, category, an optional note) and create goals (name, target amount, an optional photo). This data is stored exclusively on your device. We operate no servers and have no access to it.

2. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync (a premium feature), your entries and goals are stored in your own personal iCloud account so they stay in sync across your devices. This data goes directly from your device to Apple's iCloud — it never passes through us, and we cannot read it. Apple's Privacy Policy governs iCloud storage.

3. Optional Network Features

Most of Keept works entirely offline. Three optional features send a request over the internet. None of them send your name, an account identifier, or your list of entries and goals.

• Live gold & silver prices. If you track a metal investment, the app fetches the current market price from a pricing service. The request contains no personal data.
• "What can I do with it?" suggestions. When you ask for suggestions, the app sends the amount, the city and the category you entered on that screen (plus your app language) to our processing backend, which uses them to generate ideas. It does not receive your identity or your history. Requests are used only to produce your result and for basic abuse prevention; they are not used to build a profile of you.
• iCloud sync. Covered in section 2 — data goes directly to your own iCloud account, not to us.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any account credentials — Keept has no accounts.
• We do not track your location. (You may type a city name for suggestions; that is a value you enter, not your device location.)
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell any data to third parties.
• We do not upload your entries, goals, or savings history to our servers.

5. In-App Purchases

Keept offers optional subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's Privacy Policy governs these transactions.

6. Notifications

If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your device.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device (and in your iCloud account, if sync is enabled) until you delete it or uninstall the app. There is no server-side account or data to delete. To remove iCloud data, disable sync and delete the app's iCloud data from your device's iCloud settings. Suggestion requests (section 3) are retained only briefly on the processing backend for abuse prevention and then discarded.

8. Children's Privacy

Keept is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children — or from anyone else.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
