Save the money you didn't spend.
Keept is a savings app built around one habit: every time you resist a purchase, you log it in two taps and watch the money you kept add up into real goals.
Download on the App StoreWhat Keept does
Most budgeting apps track what you spent. Keept tracks what you didn't. You decide not to buy something — the takeout coffee, the impulse cart, the upgrade you don't need — and you record it. Keept keeps a running total of those decisions, lets you point it at goals you actually want, and can show you what that money could turn into. It's a motivation tool, not a bank: every number comes from an entry you made on purpose.
How it works
Three steps, no setup
- Skip a purchase. Decide not to buy something you'd normally get.
- Log it in two taps. Pick a category, accept the suggested amount or type your own.
- Watch it grow. The amount joins your total and counts toward whichever goal is active.
The math behind it
Suggested amounts
Each category carries a default estimate so you don't have to think — for example a skipped takeout coffee is pre-filled at a few dollars, a food-delivery order higher. You can always override it. The goal is a two-tap entry, not an exact figure.
Time to reach a goal
Keept divides what's left on a goal by your recent daily saving rate to estimate the days remaining. Save more often and the estimate moves closer; pause and it moves out. It's a projection from your own history, not a promise.
Investment value
For a gold or silver entry, current value = grams × today's live price per gram, converted to your currency. Gain is that value minus what you logged as spent. Prices refresh each time you open the app.
Streaks
A week counts toward your streak if you logged at least one saving in it. Keept allows a one-week grace gap before a streak resets, so a single quiet week doesn't wipe out months of progress.
Every figure on your screens is derived from entries you made yourself. Keept adds nothing automatically and pulls in no spending data from anywhere else.
Features
Everything in Keept
Two-tap logging
Resisted a purchase? Choose a category, use the suggested amount or enter your own — done in seconds. Nothing is ever logged automatically, so the total stays honest.
Savings goals
Tie what you save to a real goal — a trip, a phone, a rainy-day fund. Keept shows progress and estimates how many days until you reach it at your current pace.
Gold & silver investments
Bought precious metal with the money instead? Mark it. Keept records the grams, pulls the live price, and shows current value and gain. Premium adds a value-over-time chart.
Recurring skips
Define the things you regularly don't buy once, set a reminder time, and log each one with a single tap when the notification arrives. Still your choice — never automatic.
Streaks & milestones
Keept celebrates the first save of the week, multi-week streaks, savings thresholds and personal records with a quick flash, a toast, or full-screen confetti.
What can I do with it?
Once you've built up a balance, Keept can suggest real, current, local things that amount could cover — a dinner, an event, a product — with source links. Framed as the reward for restraint, not a nudge to spend.
Statistics
Trend charts, daily and monthly averages, a category breakdown of where your willpower pays off most, and a weekly summary every Sunday.
Home Screen widget
A small or medium widget keeps your total savings and active goal on your Home Screen.
Private by design
No account. No sign-up. No third-party analytics or ad SDKs. Your data lives on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud account — never on our servers.

Comparison
Keept vs. a budgeting app, a bank app, or a spreadsheet
Keept isn't trying to replace your budgeting tool. It covers a gap none of them do: recording the purchases you decided not to make and turning that restraint into a number you can use.
| Keept | Budgeting app (YNAB, Copilot…) |
Bank / card app | Notes or spreadsheet | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What it records | Purchases you chose not to make | Money you spent, by category | Transactions that cleared | Whatever you type |
| Connects to your bank | No — nothing to link | Yes, usually required | It is your bank | No |
| Entries are automatic | Never — every entry is a deliberate tap | Often auto-imported | Automatic | Manual |
| Goal + time-to-reach projection | Yes, built in | Some | Rare | Only if you build it |
| Gold / silver investment tracking | Yes, with live prices | No | No | Manual |
| Where your data lives | Your device + your iCloud | The provider's servers | The bank's servers | Wherever the file is |
| Main purpose | Motivation — see restraint add up | Control spending against a plan | Record-keeping | Whatever you make it |
Questions
Common questions
Is Keept free?
Yes — it's free to download and the core tracking, goals and statistics work without paying. Premium is optional.
Does Keept see my data?
No. There are no accounts and no analytics SDKs. Entries stay on your device, or in your own iCloud with sync on. Optional network features send only what you choose in that moment.
How is this different from a budgeting app?
Budgeting apps record money leaving your account. Keept records the purchases you decided not to make, so the total is a measure of restraint you can put toward something.
Is there an Android or web version?
No. Keept is iPhone-only, iOS 16 or later.
